Description

“Tanzanian flowers” shows four pink hibiscus blooms among dense tropical foliage.

What the picture shows

The flowers gather in the centre: broad petals are stitched from pale pink and white through raspberry to orange, with deep red specks at the heart and a long stamen carrying yellow grains. Foliage spreads all around and really carries the composition — long feathery branches in several greens, wide dark leaves, narrow turquoise and blue stems, golden spikelets. Small yellow and white flowers peep out at the bottom left and right. A dark grey printed rectangle stays behind the flowers, and the edges of the picture carry a printed woven-bamboo pattern; neither layer is beaded.
