Description

“Tale rises” shows a Christmas bauble holding a fairy-tale castle, set against a dark snowy ground.

What the picture shows

A large honey-gold bauble glows in the centre, a loop at its top. Inside, as if behind glass, stands a pink and lilac castle with pointed towers, and in front of it a fair-haired girl in a white dress. Orange and rust branches with berries and leaves wrap around the bauble, and a carved stand in rust-coloured beads holds it from below. White and gold specks of snow are scattered all around, with big silver and gold snowflakes in the corners worked in clear and yellow beads. The background is dark, greenish black with a faint printed pattern; it stays on the canvas while the beads cover the bauble, the branches and the snowflakes.
