Description

“Sunny lion” shows a lion's head merging into a solar disc, all in warm ochre tones.

What the picture shows

A circle glows at the top left: a rim of yellow, black and orange beads with a spiral pattern of small white dots inside, like a sun from folk painting. The disc turns into the lion's face — a narrowed eye, a dark nose and a cheek worked in rust, gold and brown beads with white strokes for the whiskers. The whole right half is mane: long locks laid as separate rows of black, white, grey, ochre and brick curl into waves and gather into a large spiral at the bottom right. The background is printed in yellow and orange with soft pale rays; it stays on the canvas and takes no beads.
