Description

“Star cat” shows a lacy cat silhouette against a starry sky.

What the picture shows

The cat sits in profile with its head turned to the viewer and fills almost the whole square. The figure is not filled solid: inside the silhouette lies a pattern of scrolls, spirals and rings worked in pearl, white and pale blue beads, with the dark print showing between them, so the cat reads as lace. The outline is drawn with a denser row, and the ear, paws and the long tail curving up behind repeat the same pattern. Small star-flowers and four-pointed sparkles in the same four colours are scattered over the background. The ground is printed space in black, blue and violet, and it stays unbeaded.
