Description

“Royal Bloom” is a large blue-turquoise flower with a gold rim on every petal.

What the picture shows

The flower opens across the whole square and is seen from above. The petals run in three rings: deep cobalt on the outside, turquoise and azure in the middle, almost white at the centre, each one edged with gold beads. A dense yellow-honey tuft of round beads sits at the heart. The dark grey ground with its faint petal shadows stays printed; a few sequins are scattered over the bloom and add an extra glint. The gold rim of each petal is a single row of beads along its very edge, and it is also what separates one petal from the next.

The difficulty is average with thirteen colours; the sequins are sewn on at the end, a few to each ring of petals. The dark ground deepens the colour further, so the piece also looks good under artificial light in the evening.
