Description

“Passing wind” is a decorative sailing boat with patterned sails riding stylised waves.

What the picture shows

The hull lies across the lower third: violet planking stitched in even rows, a red deckhouse with portholes, and yellow masts and spars. Every sail is different — the foresail is white with blue and violet mandala rosettes and red flowers, the next one is banded in red and white, another is deep blue with a burgundy pattern, and the largest on the right is orange with yellow suns. A red pennant flies at the masthead. The sea below is built from three rows of sharp waves in blue, turquoise and white. The sky stays printed: soft lilac clouds with small gulls scattered over them in pale blue beads.
