Description

“Multi-colored balls” shows nine round flower heads on thin stems, each in its own colour.

What the picture shows

The globes are scattered across the field at different heights: lilac with a black centre at the top, a yellow-orange one beside it, and blue, red, pink and creamy white ones lower down. Each ball is stitched from small beads in several shades at once, with dark specks at the centre, so it reads as fluffy. The stems are long and thin, laid in one or two rows of orange, pink and green beads. Sprigs with tiny yellow flowers appear at the left and right edges. The background is printed and deliberately blurred — green, ochre and dark brown strokes like knife-painted oils; it stays on the canvas, and beads cover only the flowers and stems.
