Description

“Keys to the spring” is a wreath of magnolia blossom and butterflies on a pale blue ground.

What the picture shows

A large oval ring holds the composition together, laid in several rows of mint, green and white beads. Branches with flowers spread inside it and across it: pink and white magnolia buds with dark veins, small white stars, green leaves on thin stems. Butterflies settle around the wreath — a big raspberry one at the top, orange and black monarchs in the middle and lower down, a blue one edged in yellow on the right, and another deep blue one under the ring. A small oval locket with a rose hangs from a branch in the centre. The background is pale blue with faint printed butterflies and flowers that stay as the image and take no beads.
