“Istanbul” shows a red vintage tram on a street in the old city.

What the picture shows

The car stands a little to the left, turned towards the viewer at an angle: the sides are stitched in red and dark red beads, the roof and windows in white, grey and beige, with black running gear and wheels below. A headlamp, a number board and the pantograph on the roof show at the front. A building rises on the right: orange and ochre walls, blue windows with frames, a shop sign and a row of arches, all worked in beige, grey and terracotta beads. White and grey beads mark the cobbles and rails below. The word “ISTANBUL” is stitched in black beads beneath the picture. The white canvas around it is left bare.
