Description

“Indian elephant” shows an elephant covered in floral ornament on a dark starry ground.

What the picture shows

The elephant's outline is drawn with a solid row of white beads, so the figure reads clearly against the dark. Inside is dense pattern: a large yellow and red flower on the flank, a pink bud, green and blue rosettes, orange scrolls and small paisley drops down the legs and trunk. The trunk is raised and curled, and a white tusk and a patterned red ear show by the head. A blue wavy line with small flowers and scrolls runs beneath the elephant like water. The background is printed deep blue and violet, spattered with white and pale blue specks; it stays as the image and takes no beads.
