Midi Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Golden honey"
Description
“Golden honey” is a bee on honeycomb — an almost graphic piece in warm ochre.
What the picture shows
The insect is seen from above with its wings open: the abdomen is worked in bands of gold, honey and black beads, the thorax furry and ochre, the legs thin. The wings are made of translucent and cream beads with dark veins. Hexagons of comb show beneath and around the bee — gold outlines with pale fill. The beige ground carries a faint printed drawing of a flower and a second bee; it is left unbeaded, and the beads work only on the main insect and the comb. The wings are beaded more sparsely than the body, with gaps between the rows, so they really do look transparent. The bands on the abdomen alternate evenly and hold the insect’s shape.
