Description

“Gentle hydrangeas” shows a full hydrangea head in blue and lilac with a pink cluster and a turquoise butterfly.

What the picture shows

Two clusters fill almost the whole square: the lower one runs from deep violet through cornflower to pale blue, while the upper right one is warm pink with raspberry petal edges. Each floret is built from four rounded petals with a bright green bead at the centre, which gives the whole head a speckled look. Dark green leaves with toothed edges and pale veins spread around them. A butterfly with turquoise and emerald wings dotted in black and white sits in the top left corner. The background is printed: a light crackled wall in a warm tone and a hint of a window with a mint frame — it stays as print, while the beads cover the flowers, leaves and butterfly.
