Description

“Funny trio” shows three owls in rust and orange plumage sitting on a branch.

What the picture shows

The birds stand side by side, pressed against one another, and fill almost the whole square. Their feathers are laid in short rows of gold, orange, red and white beads, with blue, turquoise and lilac strands appearing in the wings. The two outer owls have pointed ear tufts and large round eyes with black pupils and grey rims, while the middle one is smaller and turned to the side. The beaks are marked in white and dark beads. Their gripping feet show below on a branch worked in lilac, pale blue and brown. The background is printed with blue, turquoise and violet strokes, over which beaded rings and small squares in red, orange and gold are scattered.
