“Easter Symbol” is a painted egg inside a wreath of daffodils and tulips.

What the picture shows

A large egg stands in the centre: small flowers and green sprigs are drawn on its cream shell, and its edges are faintly lit with ochre. A dense wreath closes around it — yellow daffodils, orange and red tulips, small blue flowers, green leaves and feathery twigs. The ground is white with light watercolour patches. It stays printed, which keeps the wreath airy; the beads cover the egg, the flowers and the leaves, and the smallest blue blossoms are single beads. The tulips and daffodils are arranged so that no two lean the same way, and the wreath never looks stamped out.
