Description

“Earth stars” shows a stand of big meadow flowers against a village with red roofs.

What the picture shows

A tall clump of flowers grows in the centre: a pink tulip and a red bloom on long stems, a lilac daisy with an orange centre, two blue violets, pink stars and several bright yellow flowers with orange hearts below. Stems and long toothed leaves are worked in several greens, from emerald to mint. Along the blue sky at the top, white and lilac clusters are scattered like little clouds. The background is printed: hills, sheep on the grass, a few cottages with red and ochre roofs on either side, dark firs; some bushes and trees are picked out in beads, while the rest of the landscape stays as the printed image.
