Description

“Dream of the Witch” is a black cat asleep under a big pointed hat.

What the picture shows

The hat, with its tip curling upward and a wide buckle on the band, covers half the picture; it is worked in black and dark grey beads with golden stars. Under the brim sleeps a cat: black back, white whiskers and paws, tail stretched forward. Orange pumpkins with ribbed sides stand on either side, next to little bottles of dark and pink liquid and a few dry twigs. The lilac-grey ground with its white snowflakes and stars stays printed. The pumpkins are divided into segments by darker bead rows, and a pale glint of candlelight shows on the side of the nearest one.
