Description

“Dawn of the evening” shows a sunset over a river, a bare black tree and a fiery path across the water.

What the picture shows

An old tree fills the left half of the upper part: trunk and dense tangle of branches are stitched in black and dark grey beads straight over the printed sky. The sky itself stays as the printed image — blue at the top, turning amber towards the horizon, with small birds. The distant band of forest is printed too, in dark brown. The whole lower half is water, and it is densely beaded: an orange, rust and yellow path of light from the sun down the middle, with blue, turquoise and white areas on either side, crossed by black strokes of reeds and twigs standing out of the icy crust.
