“Dancing in golden light” shows dark irises against a large golden disc.

What the picture shows

Behind the flowers a circle glows, worked in dense rows of gold and honey beads — it fills almost the whole field and acts as a sun. Three irises open against it: petals of deep blue-violet with lilac highlights and ochre beards at the heart. Long sword-shaped leaves in several greens rise from below, and one more bud holds at the side. The black ground at the corners stays printed, which makes the gold burn brighter. The rows in the disc run around the circle, while the petals are beaded from edge to centre, so the two dense areas never merge.
