Midi Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Cypress moon"
Description
“Cypress moon” is a swirling night sky after Van Gogh: a broad yellow crescent and a black cypress in the foreground.
What the picture shows
The sky is wound into spirals of blue, cobalt and white beads, with stars set in yellow haloes. A golden crescent arcs across the upper right, half the width of the picture. On the left a cypress rises like dark green flame, and along the bottom runs a band of village roofs with yellow window lights and a green wave of hills. The beads fill the whorls of the sky, the moon, the stars, the cypress and the lights; the deep blue underpainting between the rows stays printed, which keeps the surface alive. The stars vary in size: some are made of a few beads, others open into wide circles, and it is this difference that keeps the sky alive.

The dark palette suits a study or a bedroom, and a 200×200 mm square needs no large wall. The finished picture can be gallery-mounted with no baguette and no passe-partout, so a frame is optional. The difficulty is average — the sky spirals take the most attention, since the rows must follow the direction of the brushstroke.
