“Cradle of Stellar Dreams” is a golden crescent cradling a heap of blue clouds with stars hanging from them.

What the picture shows

The moon curves upward with its horns raised, worked in gold and honey beads with a fine pattern. Clouds lie in its cup — dense puffs of blue, azure and steel beads with white highlights. Golden stars of different sizes hang below on thin threads, with a few more scattered over the ground. The ground is a deep blue night with small white dots; it stays as printing on the canvas, so the gold reads clearly even in dim light. The threads the stars hang from are stitched as a single row of small beads, so they stay thin and do not compete with the moon. The clouds use three blues, from steel to nearly ink.
