Description

“Color dance” shows a dancer whose dark dress breaks into a shower of green and red sparks.

What the picture shows

A woman with an upswept hairstyle and a golden corset stands on a cream ground. From the waist down a dark skirt opens out, and dense streams of beads run over it — emerald, grass green, crimson, yellow and gold, like confetti in motion. At the bottom they break off in a ragged edge, with a few drops flying off to the side. The face, shoulders and arms stay printed; the beads cover the corset, the skirt and the scatter, and the sequins add the glint. The streams differ in length and density: the green one falls lowest, the red breaks off halfway, and the gold scatters into separate dots.

The cream ground stays clear right around the edge, so the piece needs no passe-partout even visually.
