Description

“Bridge into the spring” shows a pink wrought bridge between two blossoming trees.

What the picture shows

Two trees stand at the sides of the picture: dark trunks and branches laid in brown beads, crowns built as a solid mass of pink, raspberry and white flowers with green leaves. A bridge crosses almost through the middle: a pink deck of steps and lilac railings with scrolls and hearts on the posts. A large pink butterfly sits on the rail and two more flutter below on the right. A blue river runs under the bridge, stitched in rows of blue and pale blue, with yellow-green grass and white daisies on the banks. A white glow shows deep between the crowns — printed open sky that stays unbeaded, like the coloured ground at the top.
