Description

“Blooming flowers” shows a bouquet of roses, a lily and lilac clusters on a white ground.

What the picture shows

A red rose opens at the heart of the bouquet, built from spiral rows of red and burgundy beads. Below it is a large orange lily with yellow strokes along the petals, at the top left a peach and pink rose, and lower down another, smaller one in pink and white. Violet and lilac clusters crowd between them, along with pink spikes on long stems, dark green and black leaves and turquoise sprigs. On the left and right some plants are left as print alone — fine pencil twigs and pale watercolour flowers that are deliberately not beaded. A turquoise geometric pattern shows on the white ground at the top left, with a green sprig stitched above it.
