Microbead Embroidery Postcard-Envelope Kit "Guitar"
Description
“Guitar” gathers a guitar, piano keys and cogwheels into one steampunk composition. It is the most graphic piece in the series.
What the picture shows
The guitar lies across the diagonal: its body is worked in black and white beads in broad patches, the neck runs up as a narrow turquoise band with black frets, and the strings are drawn out in rows of single beads. Several cogwheels of different sizes are meshed to the right of it — bronze, pink-lilac and turquoise, with black centres; the largest sits straight on the body of the guitar. Black comb-like bands like piano keys run along the left and the bottom, with pale rectangular keys beside them. The rusty ochre ground, streaked and stained, stays as printing and is never beaded over. Six colours give a sharp contrast of black, white and turquoise.
