Microbead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "Obedience"

“Obedience” shows three infant angels standing side by side with their hands folded in prayer. The piece is horizontal and very light in tone.

What the picture shows

All three are the same height and dressed in long golden shifts gathered in soft folds. The two on the outside have lowered their eyelids, while the third, on the right, looks straight at the viewer with large grey-green eyes — the detail that brings the whole trio to life. Their hair is fair, cut in an even bob. Short pale blue wings show behind their shoulders, worked in light rows, and thin gold haloes of tiny beads float above their heads. Bare feet peep out from under the shifts. Only five colours are used, and almost all the beading goes into the golden shifts, the wings and the haloes; the faces, the hair and the white ground stay as printing on the canvas, which is why the piece looks so airy.
