Description

“Zhytomyr region” is an outline where two different ornaments meet.

What the picture shows

The left part is taken up by a large black and white diamond built from concentric rows of beads, while the right carries red floral rosettes with black centres. A vertical wavy red line runs between them and divides the magnet almost in half. The outline itself is rounded at the top with a sharp corner at the lower right. Six hundred and twenty-five beads in four colours — red, black, white and transparent red — lie in dense areas, but the printed ornament shows between them, which gives the surface its texture. A gold cord is stitched along the edge and follows the region’s border. The split ornament makes the magnet look harder than it is: both halves are worked in the same simple rows.
