Description

“Sumy region” carries a restrained ornament in brown and beige.

What the picture shows

This is the calmest magnet in the series in terms of colour: instead of the usual red and black motifs there are brown and beige beads on a light canvas. The ornament is simple: diagonal bands of brown beads with small black squares between them and a few red crosses that provide the only bright accent. The shape itself has a deep curve in the middle, as if it were made of two parts joined by a narrow isthmus. Three hundred and eighty-three beads in four colours leave plenty of open canvas, so the piece looks light and almost graphic. A gold cord is stitched along the edge.
