Description

“Lviv region” is an outline carrying a floral ornament in seven colours.

What the picture shows

A band of ornament runs through the whole piece: two large red rosettes with white and gold centres, bunches of grapes in violet beads between them, green leaves and small yellow dots. Two even lines of black beads run along one side and separate the ornament from the edge. There are seven colours here, the most of any individual region in the series, so the magnet looks like a piece cut from a Galician embroidered shirt. Four hundred and forty beads lie in patches: the white print with its fine pattern shows everywhere between them, and the canvas stays part of the picture. A gold cord follows the curves of the border.
