Description

“Lugansk region” carries a blue and red rosette in the middle of the outline.

What the picture shows

The colour pair here differs from most of the series: dark blue takes the place of black and, together with red, gives a cooler range. A large round rosette opens at the centre: a red core with short rays, ringed by a blue crown of pointed petals. Smaller motifs repeat above and below it — triangular firs, small flowers and diamonds — fading out towards the edges. Seven hundred and forty-five beads in two colours cover most of the surface, yet the printed white canvas still shows between the rows. A gold cord outlines the wavy border of the region. The blue here is deep, almost ink-like, and looks especially dense against the white canvas.
