Description

“Kherson region” carries white and red diamonds on a dark canvas.

What the picture shows

The shape stretches sideways, with a sharp spur on the left and a taller part on the right. The print on the canvas is dark and finely gridded, and chains of white beads read brightly against it, building large diamonds. A red figure with a black outline sits inside each diamond, and small white and black crosses are scattered between them. There are four colours: white, red, black and transparent red, which gives a light sheen. Six hundred and seventy-nine beads are laid in dense lines, with the dark print still visible between them. A gold cord outlines the shape.
