Description

“Donetsk region” is an outline carrying large red flowers on a white field.

What the picture shows

The shape stretches up and down, with a sharp spur on the left and a wavy edge on the right. Unlike its geometric neighbours in the series, this one is floral: three large red flowers with white centres are set on a diagonal, each surrounded by black leaves of small beads. A thin red and black trail runs between them across the white canvas. There are only three colours — red, black and white — and the motif reads most clearly against the light field. Five hundred and twenty-five beads lie in patches, leaving the print open between the flowers. A gold cord outlines the whole perimeter, so the shape of the region reads at first glance.
