Description

“Chernihiv region” carries a dense ornament with a large diagonal cross.

What the picture shows

The shape is almost square, with a wavy upper edge and several spurs below. The lower half is taken up by a large diagonal cross worked in black and white chains, with a red flower and its short rays opening at the centre. Rows of black diamonds with red centres run across the top, separated by white lines. There are four colours: besides red, black and white the piece uses transparent red beads that catch the light differently from the matte ones. Seven hundred and sixteen beads cover almost the whole field, leaving the print visible only in narrow strips. A gold cord runs around the perimeter.
