Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Valentine"

“St. Valentine” — a waist-length image of the bishop-saint in a cross-marked omophorion over green vestments.

What the picture shows

The saint faces forward, his head slightly inclined. His hair and beard are dark blond touched with grey. Over the green vestment lies a broad omophorion in a warm sand tone, marked with blue crosses with extended arms. The cuff below carries another blue cross and a band of gold. His hands are joined in front of his chest, holding a small object in red-and-gold trim. The halo is golden, made of several rows of warm shades. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, halo, corner rosettes, side border and lower cartouche, while the pale background with its printed leaf pattern stays exactly as printed. The field is finished in the traditional way: two corner fans above, side bands of fine ornament and a signed cartouche below.
