What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, turned slightly. His hair is curly, the beard short and wavy, his gaze off to the side. The robe is brick-red; on the right a green-and-gold section of clothing with a fine ornament is visible, and an embroidered cuff set with coloured stones sits at the wrist. The right hand is raised, holding a pale cross. The halo is golden, built from several rings within a darker rim. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, the robes, the cross, the halo, the corner ornaments and the border, while the cream background with its printed scrollwork is left unbeaded.
