“St. Olga” — the holy princess with a cross in her hand and a model of a church beside her.

What the picture shows

The princess is shown half-length in a tall red-and-gold headdress with pearl pendants framing her face. Her coral-pink robe is worked with gold bands, and rows of small blue beads form a necklace at her breast. In her right hand she holds a gold eight-pointed cross, and to her side rises a white-and-blue church with gilded domes. The halo is gold, made of many concentric rings. The edge carries a brown-and-gold foliate border with rosettes above and a cartouche below. The beading is partial: figure, headdress, robes, church, halo and frame are beaded, while the cream printed background stays on the canvas.
