Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Nonna"

“St. Nonna” — a waist-length image of the saint in a blue robe, her right hand raised in prayer. The icon is restrained, in a warm ochre range.

What the picture shows

The saint stands almost frontally. Her head and shoulders are covered by a pale, almost white veil worked in small beads; over it falls a deep blue robe with a wide golden band at the neckline and cuffs. The right hand is raised palm outwards, the left rests lower. The halo is built from several rings, from honey ochre to warm gold. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, the halo, the corner rosettes and the ornamental border, while the background — pale cream with a printed foliate pattern — stays on the canvas as printed. A red plaque with the saint's name runs along the bottom.
