What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, almost frontally. A pale blue-and-white veil worked in small beads covers her head, a strand of hair showing beneath it. The robe is blue with broad folds; on the breast is a brown-orange yoke patterned in a fine chequer. Both hands hold a golden narrow-necked vessel before her. The halo is warm, of yellow and gold rings. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, the veil, the vessel, the halo, the corner rosettes and the border, while the cream background with its printed foliate pattern stays painted on the canvas. A red name plaque runs along the bottom.
