Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Larissa"

“St. Larissa” — the saint holding a small cross, in a pairing of blue, lilac and warm ochre.

What the picture shows

She is shown half-length. A pale blue veil with a pearl edge covers her head and settles softly on her shoulders. Over it lies a lilac-blue mantle in broad folds, and beneath that an orange-gold robe worked with bands and a fine pattern. In her right hand she holds a small brown-and-gold cross. The halo is broad, moving from greenish ochre to deep gold. A brown-and-gold foliate border runs around the edge, with rosettes above and a cartouche below. The beading is partial: figure, veil, mantle, robe, halo and frame are beaded, while the cream printed background stays on the canvas.
