Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Juliana"

“St. Juliana” — the holy princess in a jewelled cap, holding a cross. A richly dressed icon with dense ornament on the robes.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, frontally. On her head is a low princely cap set with coloured stones, a pale blue-and-white veil falling from beneath it. The robe is crimson-red, its sleeves and hem densely covered with golden-yellow ornament flecked with small blue and green accents; a green underdress shows in the centre. Her right hand holds a pale cross, the left is raised palm outwards. The halo is golden, of several rings. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, the cap, the ornament on the robes, the halo, the corner rosettes and the border, while the cream background with its printed scrollwork is left unbeaded.
