What the picture shows

The prince is shown half-length, almost frontally. A crown set with gems circles his head, and a dark-brown beard frames his face. A brick-red cloak falls across his shoulder, and beneath it is a green tunic with a broad vertical band of ornament: pink and pale-blue flower rosettes in gold outlines scattered over the green ground. His right hand rests on his breast, and a gilded hilt shows at his belt. The halo is gold, made of even concentric rows. The edge carries a brown-and-gold foliate border with rosettes above and a cartouche below. The beading is partial: figure, robes, halo and frame are beaded, while the cream printed background is left as it is.
