Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Eugene"

“St. Eugene” shows the young martyr holding a cross. The red garment and gold halo set a warm, focused note.

What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, almost frontally: a short fair beard and a calm, direct gaze. A crimson-red cloak is thrown over his shoulder, and beneath it is a blue tunic with ochre-gold trim across the chest and belt. One hand holds a tall pale-gold cross with crossbars; the other is pressed to the chest. The halo is warm gold with a red rim. The fill is partial: beads cover the figure, the clothing, the cross, the halo, the border and the corner fans, while the cream ground with its printed scrollwork stays as printed on the canvas. Amber corner fans above and a narrow chequered border around the edges frame the field, with a red cartouche at the bottom.
