Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Christina"

“St. Christina” — a waist-length image of the young martyr with a cross and a scroll, in a blue mantle over a red dress.

What the picture shows

The saint is turned slightly to the right. Her chestnut hair is loose, bound with a thin diadem of small stones and a red flower. A blue-turquoise mantle is thrown over her shoulder and falls in wide folds; beneath it is a dress in a warm red-pink tone. Her right hand holds a large pale blue eight-pointed cross, her left a small inscribed scroll. The halo is golden, worked in ochre and warm yellow rows. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, halo, corner rosettes, the band of side ornament and the cartouche below, while the pale background with its printed scroll remains on the canvas. Fan rosettes fill the upper corners, a narrow ornamental border runs down each side, and a cartouche in a gold frame sits at the bottom.
