Icon Bead Embroidery Pattern on Art Canvas "St. Angelina"

“St. Angelina” — a waist-length image of the venerable saint in a jewelled diadem and golden mantle, her hands at her chest.

What the picture shows

The saint stands frontally. Her green diadem is set with blue and white stones, and a blue-lilac veil falls from beneath it. A green ornament with fine patterning lies across her chest. The outer mantle is ochre-gold, covered with long dark strokes and pale blue ribbons studded with small stones; a blue dress shows beneath. Her right hand is pressed to her chest, a dark bracelet at the wrist. The halo is golden, several rows deep. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, halo, corner rosettes, side ornament and lower cartouche, while the pale background with its printed scroll stays on the canvas. The field is finished in the traditional way: two corner fans above, side bands of fine ornament and a signed cartouche below.
