What the picture shows

The saint is shown to the waist, almost frontally. On her head is a pale silvery-white veil, with long chestnut hair falling from beneath it onto her shoulders. The robe is pink-crimson, with a blue panel at the breast and a golden band along the neckline. Her right hand holds a small golden cross on a long shaft; the left is lowered and holds a pale object. The halo is wide, of yellow and gold rings. The beading is partial: beads cover the figure, the veil, the robes, the cross, the halo, the corner ornaments and the border, while the cream background with its printed foliate scroll is left unbeaded on the canvas.
