Description

«St. Tarasius (Taras)» shows the archbishop in a pink striped phelonion; no other kit in the batch uses this muted pink.

What the picture shows

The hierarch is shown to the waist, frontally. His hair and beard are grey, his gaze stern. The phelonion is worked in pale pink and peach beads in broad stripes, with a green omophorion and black crosses laid over it. His left hand holds a Gospel in an ornamented red binding, his right a blessing cross. The halo is golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and the name cartouche above. Face, beard and hands remain printed on the canvas, as does the cream embossed ground — the beading is not solid.
