Description

«St. Svyatoslav» shows the holy prince in a fur cap with a crown band — the only image in the batch with a sword in hand.

What the picture shows

The prince stands frontally, with a fair beard and moustache. On his head is a dark fur cap with a red-and-gold crown band. A brown cloak on a red lining is thrown over his shoulders; beneath it a blue caftan with vertical gold and red patterned bands and a decorated collar. His right hand holds a small cross, his left the hilt of a sword. The halo is golden, with a beaded ornamental arch and name plaque above. Face, beard and hands remain printed, as does the embossed ground — the beading is not solid.
