“St. Peter” is a martyr in a princely crown, with an eight-pointed cross and a blessing hand.

What the picture shows

The figure is shown to the waist, the gaze level and firm. A red-and-gold crown with small points sits on his head, and behind it a broad amber halo with beaded rays. His body is covered by a cuirass of small dark green scales, and over it a crimson-and-gold cloak with a large foliate pattern. In his right hand is a dark eight-pointed cross; his left is raised palm outward. The ground is cream with an embossed scroll and a name plaque above. The beads fill the crown, the cuirass, the cloak, the cross and the halo, while the face, the hands and the ground stay printed on the canvas.

The frame in the photograph is not part of the kit: it and the glass are chosen separately once the embroidery is finished.
