“St. Nicholas” is a bishop in a white omophorion, with a gospel book and a blessing hand.

What the picture shows

The most bead-heavy icon in the group. The figure is shown to the waist, the face aged, with a high forehead and a short white beard. A wide white omophorion with dark crosses is laid over his shoulders; beneath it a pale vestment patterned with crosses and gold cuffs. His right hand is raised in blessing; in his left is a gospel book in a red-and-blue binding with a large lozenge at its centre. The halo is gold, the ground cream with an embossed scroll. The beads fill the omophorion, the vestment, the binding and the halo, while the face, the hands and the ground stay printed on the canvas.
