Icon Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "St. Nadegda"
Description
“St. Nadegda” is a young martyr with her hands raised in prayer, in a flowered diadem.
What the picture shows
The figure is shown to the waist, almost frontal. A diadem of red and green stones, like a band of flowers, crowns her head; her hair is drawn back. A wide shoulder collar densely set with green and red gems lies across her shoulders, over a crimson dress falling in soft folds. Both hands are raised palms outward in the gesture of prayer. The halo is gold with a thin rim, the ground cream with an embossed scroll; a name plaque sits above and beaded fans in the corners. The beads fill the dress, the collar, the diadem and the halo, while the face, the palms and the ground stay printed on the canvas.

The format is vertical, 230×300 mm, so the icon sits on a shelf or hangs on the wall of a home prayer corner. The beads are stitched in rows straight onto the printed field, so there is no chart to check on a screen and the work moves along evenly. The frame in the photograph is not part of the kit: it and the glass are chosen separately once the embroidery is finished.
