Icon Bead Embroidery Kit on Art Canvas "St. Maximus"
Description
“St. Maximus” is a warrior in scale armour holding a sword point upward.
What the picture shows
The strongest silhouette in the group: broad shoulders and a sword raised on the diagonal, with a straight blade and a cross-shaped hilt. The armour is worked in golden-brown scales, and over it hangs a dense violet cloak falling from the right shoulder. His hair is curled, his beard short and red. The halo is gold, the ground a warm ochre-cream with an embossed scroll and a name plaque above. The scales of the armour are graded in small steps from dark bronze to pale gold, and most of the seventeen colours go into them. The beads fill the armour, the cloak, the sword and the halo, while the face, the hands and the ground stay printed on the canvas.

The vertical 230×300 mm composition reads from several steps away. The finishing seen in the photo is not part of the kit; the frame and glass are ordered separately.
